Active road marking renewal is underway in Kyiv: work has already been completed on 108 streets.

In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, an active process of renewing road markings on the city’s street-road network is underway. According to “Kyivavtodor”, marking works have already been successfully carried out on 108 streets of the city, and this process continues.

Recently, road workers have completed the application of markings on important highways of the city. Among the streets where work has already been completed, we can highlight:

Special attention is paid to the renewal of markings of pedestrian crossings, bike lanes, and bike crossings, which contributes to increasing the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.

For the renewal of road markings, a special road paint is used. However, in a few weeks, when the night temperatures become more favorable, it is planned to switch to the use of cold plastic. This technology provides a longer service life of the marking and improves its visibility in any weather conditions.

To minimize inconvenience for drivers and avoid traffic restrictions, the main part of the work is carried out at night. This allows significantly reducing traffic during the work and ensures unimpeded movement of transport during the day.
