Replacement of Driving Licenses in Ukraine: New law

According to draft law No8082, Ukrainian drivers will have to renew their driving licenses.

This draft law has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration and has already received preliminary approval from the relevant committee. One of the provisions of this document is mandatory physical and psychological testing for drivers every 10-15 years. The type and frequency of these tests will depend on the category of driving license.

Also, drivers with multiple traffic violations will have to retake theoretical and practical exams. Transport companies will also be required to renew their drivers' licenses every 5 years.

At present, many Ukrainian drivers have expired driving licenses or documents valid for 30 years. These changes aim to improve road safety and enhance the driver's licensing system.
