Prohibition on stopping, standing, and parking in electric vehicle spaces: fine amounts

In Ukraine, it is prohibited to stop, stand, or park in areas designated for vehicles equipped with electric engines. There are also fines for obstructing electric vehicle drivers during stopping or parking.

Fine for Violating Stopping and Standing Rules in Electric Vehicle Spaces

According to Article 122 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, stopping or standing vehicles in spaces designated solely for electric vehicles, marked with appropriate road signs or markings, results in a fine ranging from twenty to thirty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens. This amounts to between 340 and 510 hryvnias.

Additionally, obstructing electric vehicle drivers during stopping or standing is also punishable by a fine of 340 to 510 hryvnias.

Fine for Parking in Electric Vehicle Spaces

According to Article 152-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, parking in areas designated for vehicles with electric engines entails a fine ranging from twenty to thirty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens. This means the fine amount is similarly between 340 and 510 hryvnias.

Definition of Electric Vehicle Parking Spaces

Spaces designated for parking electric vehicles include:

  • Specially equipped or allocated parking areas.
  • Areas near residential buildings (excluding individual residential buildings) or other buildings.
  • Sidewalks with appropriate markings or signs.

Therefore, violating stopping, standing, or parking rules in these areas will result in fines.
